It's Biosecurity Month!

In collaboration with members of the Government Industry Agreement (GIA) Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) Council, we are running a competition this month!

Can you guess how many Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs are in the jar?

Think you've got a good eye? Put your estimation skills to the test in our Brown Marmorated Stink Bug (BMSB) Guessing Competition!

🪳 Brown marmorated stink bug is one of New Zealand's highest-priority biosecurity threats. While we don't have it established here, every interception is a reminder of why awareness matters. This competition is a fun way to help more people become familiar with this unwanted pest and why it's important to keep it out of New Zealand.

🎁 Prize: A BMSB-themed biosecurity goodie bag.

How to enter:
Submit your best guess using the link below.
We'll be releasing clues throughout the competition, so don't worry if your first guess isn't your last!
You can enter as many times as you like, but only your most recent entry before the competition closes will count.

👉 Enter here:  Guess the Number of Brown Marmorated Stink Bugs! – Fill out form

Whether you're involved in the arable sector, horticulture, transport, logistics, or you're simply interested in protecting New Zealand's biosecurity, we'd love to see your guess.

Good luck—and remember, when it comes to BMSB:

Catch it. Snap it. Report it.
